As the Springfield Business Journal (SBJ) puts it, “Every business owner or executive has a team of professionals who help make the organization a success. They are accountants, attorneys, bankers, financial professionals, human resources professionals, marketers, real estate agents, insurance agents and technology professionals.” For 2023, both Christian and Collin were named.
Honorees selected for the “Trusted Advisers” award are chosen by an independent panel of judges. For 2023, a total of 20 businesspeople were named, encompassing advisers from nine different industry categories, including Accounting Adviser, Banking Adviser, Technology Adviser, Real Estate Adviser, Insurance Adviser, Legal Adviser, Financial Adviser, Human Resources Adviser and Marketing Adviser.
In the award’s Financial Adviser category, Christian Conner, CFP® was named as “a professional adviser in the peak of his career,” having been in his field for more than five years. Collin Gimlin was named as an “Up and Comer” in his career for less than five years.
Three “Up and Comer” awards were given this year, including Collin, and “these are individuals whose careers we should all be watching,” according to SBJ. There were 16 Trusted Advisers named, including Christian. The SBJ also names one Legacy Adviser winner each year, “a pinnacle award for industry veterans with over 20 years of experience.” A luncheon event to celebrate the honorees will be held on September 29 at the DoubleTree Hotel.
